Dear Campus Community,

We held a Campus Summit on Monday, April 24, and I thank all of you who attended! It was a great opportunity to gather and discuss the future of SJSU. We will host a summit specifically for students on Wednesday, May 10, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Campus Village 2 multipurpose room. More information will be shared with students in a separate message.

The next campus summit will be on enrollment and is scheduled for June 12, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m..

Your engagement is vital to our efforts and if you were unable to attend, you can view a recording of the video which will be available on this webpage next week. And, you still have the opportunity to provide input through any of these means through Friday, May 26:

Mission, Vision, and Values - Read and consider the draft mission, vision, and values statements. Provide input on these statements by responding to the questionnaire we have created.
Campus Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (CCDEI) Work - Review the CCDEI Action Plan Framework and the CCDEI Template for Action Plans. Provide input here.
Affirmation of Transformation 2030 Goal - Read through the five Transformation 2030 goals and their desired outcomes. In this questionnaire, you can share what you think is missing from the desired outcomes and provide your perspective on how we should prioritize these. You can also offer suggestions about priorities regarding “the business of running the university.” Your input will help us strengthen our efforts and coalesce around our Transformation 2030 goals and implementation.

I will share what we learned from this process in my fall address. Until then, thank you for your contributions to this campus conversation.
